A diagnosis of cancer can be devastating at any age. We are in a time when more and more young adults are facing diagnoses that were once reserved for “older” adults. We know that each year, an estimated 10,000 young Canadians face a cancer diagnosis. Approximately 8,000 of them will win this battle. This makes the importance of considering life after cancer increasingly important. Without knowing the importance of fertility preservation prior to their treatment, many are left infertile with few options.
